As opposed to direct loss or damage -- is indirect loss or damage resulting from loss or damage caused by a covered peril listed in the Fire & Allied Perils policy above.
This form of insurance provides loss of income coverage for your business by replacing your operating income during the period when damage to the premises or other property prevents income from being earned.
Business Interruption insurance, extends consequential loss or damage coverage for such items as extra expenses, rental value, profits and commissions, etc.
